Beatrice Stonebanks wants to teach you how to be a corporate dominatrix

All too often in the workplace, women fight to hide their sexuality. In Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In, the controversial feminist-treatise-of-the-moment on combating sexism in the corporate world, Sandberg references a tech worker who goes so far as to remove her earrings before coming to work, so fervently does the employee wish to minimize her gender lest it distract her male cohorts.

Beatrice Stonebanks takes a different tack. A sales consultant for 25 years now, and a member of the San Francisco BDSM scene for 16, she strode into a partners' meeting at her job in 2010 and wrote two words on the dry erase board for all to see. They were: corporate dominatrix.

Before the kick-ass April 3 Janus program by Richard Sprott, we're going to have our second Janus Supper Social of the year. Come for the class, have dinner for free.

Meet, eat, schmooze, socialize.....get to know your kinky community members at our Pre-Class Social Mixer. It starts at approximately 6:30pm and runs to just before the program that starts at 8.

We have listened to our members requests for more opportunities to build community.

Meet, EAT, Socialize.....get to know more community members at our Pre-Class Social Mixer next Wed. March 20th 7-8pm BEFORE the Corporate Dominatrix Training begins. We'll be supplying dinner and sweets -- you supply the friendly interaction.

Doors open at 7pm.

An Orientation meeting is a fun, low-key, non-threatening forum where prospective members to the Society of Janus are presented with the rules and guidelines of the organization, and introduced to current members and to each other. Current members are always welcome and encouraged to attend.

Location: the Castro Community Room, which is located inside the Bank of America building at 501 Castro Street (at the corner of Castro and 18th) in San Francisco. Enter through the glass doors next to the bank of teller machines and follow the signs up the stairs.

Please arrive on time as we try to start promptly; you may not be able to attend if you arrive more than 10 or so minutes late.

If you want to attend an orientation, it's helpful if you RSVP by e-mail to orientation@soj.org. There is a $5 orientation fee (for non-members) to help pay for the room rental.
