About Our Program
What hurts you particularly? What kinds of sensations does your body enjoy? Are there sensations that only hurt under certain circumstances?
Come learn about your body's particular responses to painful sensations. This participatory workshop will guide you through getting to know your own pain preferences. We'll also talk about how you can use your newfound knowledge of your body to your advantage, and how you can consciously work with and modify your personal response to pain.
Whether you're a pain novice or a pain pro, there will be room to explore and develop your individual pain inclinations. Please come ready to participate!
About Our Presenter
Rae enjoys exploring the edges and margins of the world. As a queer leather switch, slut, adventurer, and genderqueer with a beard and tits, Rae presents at a variety of local and national leather events and at outreach programs to the vanilla world. A teacher by trade, he (or she – take your pick) provides participatory, experiential learning. Rae is on the Folsom Street Events board, co-curated an exhibit on leather history at the GLBT Historical Society, and is the volunteer coordinator for International Ms. Leather.
Please note: you do not need to be a member to attend. Janus programs are open to all attendees 18 years of age and older who have a personal, positive interest in BDSM
