Janus Orientation - Sunday Jan 8, 4-6pm

Here's one New Year's resolution that you might even enjoy keeping: Putting more kink into your life.

Come to a Janus orientation and learn more about our kinky club and how you can safely explore BDSM and find community. Our next Orientation is Sunday, Jan 8 from 4-6pm.

The orientation is a fun, low-key, and non-threatening forum where prospective members to the Society of Janus are presented with the benefits and guidelines of the organization, and introduced to Janus members and to each other. Current members are always welcome to attend.

There is a $5 orientation fee (for non-members), but at the end of the meeting you will receive a program pass good for admission to one regular Janus program (such a deal!).

If you're planning to be there, please RSVP, if possible, to orientation (at) soj.org.

Questions about joining? Can't find information on our lovely website? Send an email to orientation (at) soj.org and we'll try to get right back to you!

Heres the facts:

The Society of Janus Orientation is casual and so is the dress. The location is private and the atmosphere is relaxed with the aim of making the meeting comfortable for everyone. The orientation is informational only.

WHEN & WHERE:
The next orientation will be held on Sunday Jan 8 from 4-6pm, at the Castro Community Room, which is located inside the Bank of America building at 501 Castro Street (at the corner of Castro and 18th) in San Francisco.

The entrance is at the Bank of America entrance next to the ATM machines (the room is upstairs, but the main bank door will be locked if the bank is closed, so we will have a person posted there to let folks in).

Please plan to get there about 10 minutes early, as we try to start promptly. You may not be able to get in if you arrive more than 10 or so minutes late.

COST:
Attending the Orientation costs $5.00 per prospective member.

MEMBERSHIP:
At the end of the Orientation you will receive a membership application and a pass for free entry to any one regular Janus program. If you wish to join, you may fill out the application and turn it in immediately along with your $40 membership fee (couples/triads/etc. may join for an extra $10 each additional person), or you can mail it to us later.

**Parking can be challenging in the Castro, as it is in most of the city.**

We recommend that people try taking public transportation, if possible (see below).

Public transportation tips:
It's about a 20 minute walk from the 16th & Mission BART station.
It's one block from the Castro St. MUNI stop (K, L, M), as well as the end of the F car MUNI line at 17th and Market/Castro. Transfer from BART to the Muni underground at Embarcadero Station.
Several Muni lines (the 24 and 33) also stop right at 18th and Castro.
