Folsom Street Fair 2009 - a brief report

Fair officials estimate that more than 400,000 (yes 400 thousand) folks came out this past Sunday for a hot, sexy, quite kinky Folsom Street Fair. The weather could not have been better.

Society of Janus had an "anchor position" at 11th and Folsom Streets where we unofficially greeted Folsom crowds with education, information and a Charity Spanking and Flogging booth.

With the help and guidance of talented emcees and skillful Tops, it's estimated that more than 400 folks got their bottoms and backs spanked, paddled, flogged or had some kinky action applied to tender parts.

We would like to thank all the folks who donated money to have parts tenderized in so many ways. We would also like all of you to appreciate the talents and skills of all the Top who donated their time and energies to make this happen. Many of them are professionals, and getting even a short session from them is truly worth the trip, as they say.

Finally, we are often asked "How do I learn these things?" at the booth. It's simple. You can attend Janus classes (Janus membership gives you a really, really low entry fee), you can find other resources in the community through this website (see reciprocals), but the one thing that you CAN'T do is get skills online. We encourage you to attend classes in person and to learn from folks who have spent a good deal of time honing skills.

Thanks to everyone who participated in Folsom Street Fair 2009. Your dollars all go to charities that deserve it.
