Leather Workshop: Make Your Own Paddles - July 15, 2012

The Society of Janus presents:
Make your very own leather paddle in this beginner’s workshop

Date & Time: Sunday, July 15, 2012 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Tandy Leather Factory, 2825 Whipple, Union City, CA
Cost: Janus members and reciprocals $20 ($5 class fee, $15 materials fee), $30 for all others ($15 class fee, $15 materials fee).

NOTE: This Program is limited to 15 attendees. Please RSVP to events (at) soj.org to reserve your spot. You can also prepay which guarantees you a spot (see link below). If the class fills up, we will put your name on a waiting list. This is sure to be a popular class.

About our program
This is a hands-on workshop where you will make your own leather paddle to take home with you.

This is for those who are completely new to leatherworking or who have limited experience. We will learn the basic skills needed to make a simple paddle. If there’s interest we will organize future classes to build on those skills. The skills you learn in this class can be built upon in later classes to make different types of cuffs, collars, leashes, paddles, floggers, corsets, etc - only your imagination is the limit!

Dominants: Nothing impresses a submissive more than a display of competence and creativity.
Submissives: Few things show your devotion to the practice of submission more than crafting an implement with your own hands.

Why buy something someone else has made, when you can make your very own to use with play partners? Personally made toys add that special “touch” ;-)

Note: The program runs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm., but the program may run over depending on the drying times for the paddles.

About the Presenter
Cal (RoughcutLeather on Fetlife) has several years of experience in teaching leatherwork classes on a weekly basis as manager of Tandy Leather Factory in Union City. Cal enjoys making and teaching others how to make leather cuffs, collars, leashes, paddles, floggers, corsets, etc. He loves to see the look on a friend's face when they see their new toy and start thinking of the possibilities!
