The Fine Art (and great fun) of Corseting - a review.
It was not only "hands-on" but "body-in" at the recent Janus program “The Fine Art of Corseting,” with Autumn Adamme, owner of Dark Garden Corsetry.

First, Autumn covered corset construction, materials, quality and styles, then went onto lacing. Two very eager volunteers demonstrated how to lace someone else into a corset and Autumn then taught the group an efficient "self-lacing" technique by quickly and expertly lacing herself into a beautiful leather corset.
In the second half, it was dress up time! Audience members got to try on various styles - it was great fun to see so many corseted bodies (male and female identified) running around comparing different styles. One participant managed to reduce her waist size by an amazing 6” Everyone seemed to enjoy the feeling of constriction and support that these beautiful garments provide. It was also great to be able to compare the fit and feel of different styles, sizes and materials, and in such great company.
As one member let us know in her kind email the following day: “I learned a lot and had much fun at the same time.” That’s what Janus programs strive for. Thanks to all who attended for providing such great energy, asking such great questions and generally making the evening both informative and fun.
