About this program:
Many aspects of medical and electrical play are interesting enough for an entire program but this intro to these types of play will cover some of the basics - what they are, how people play - as well as some of the basic safety concerns involved. Various toys will be displayed and explained, and, if there is time, class members may experience some of the sensations.

For electric play there will be presentation and/or discussion of basic tens muscle stimulation units, Folsom Units, the ErosTek E-312B, Violet Wand, flyswatter, dog collars and cattle prods, genitorture and genital play, monopole vs. dipole, and other types of e-play will also be covered.

Under medical play, we plan to talk about medical role playing, temporary play piercing, permanent piercings (body modification), cutting and scarification, suturing, catheterization, sounds, inspections, casting and more.

About our presenters:
Marc and Pilar have been active in the local BDSM scene for more than a decade and perverted for longer than they can remember. Both are currently Janus officers, SFSI shift supervisors, frequent speakers to colleges and community groups about alternative sexuality and both teach a number of SM classes including play piercing, flogging, spanking/paddling, medical/electrical, Intro to SM and more.

The Janus Xplore Series is a presentation of several "overview" classes, one per month, on Sunday afternoons. These classes are intended to give the participants a solid, high-level overview of one area - not an in-depth class, but a great launching point to ask questions and really see the wide range of activities possible.
