Folsom Street Fair Weekend is here.

On Sunday, September 27, the grand Daddy event of Leather Week is the Folsom Street Fair. Up to 400,000 leather and kink folks (and some wildly entertained tourists) descend on a dozen blocks South of Market for a day of hot, sexy fun.

For your listening enjoyment this month, we have the first half of an interview with noted physician Dr. Charles Moser. This interview was conducted in the late 90s to be used for the Janus 25th Anniversary History project. Look for the second half next month.

Saturday, October 24, 2-4pm. What could be more fun than an afternoon of board and card games in San Francisco's only kink café? Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Chess, and cards. I even hear that Wicked Grounds owns a kinky board game.

This event is a great way to meet your fellow kinksters in a casual environment that is very kink friendly. This is a "come as you are" event. Everyone that is 18+ with an interest in BDSM is welcome. You do not need to be a Janus member to attend.

We had a fun turnout at yesterday's Newbie Only Coffee Social, including an invited guest hostess who generously shared her expansive experience with the eager crowd, providing a special evening.

The small and boisterous group of Newbies asked questions ranging from the basics of a private scene to the complex nature of the San Francisco Leather community. We shared stories of exploits gone wrong and scenes done very right. Upon request, we even performed a brilliant re-enactment of an awkward first negotiation for a public play scene.
